We were there on the day they re-opened with some newly displayed and rearranged art featuring New York architecture. While I am aware that the bulk of the artist's work is not at the museum in Santa Fe, what they have is grouped nicely and...More
It is nice that a museum dedicated to one artist consistantly has varied shows from different angles and with other artists. It is a perfect size, where you aren't overwhelmed with too many rooms, and too much to see. The gift shop always has items...More
This is a small museum (takes less than an hour to see everything) and many of her works are obviously displayed at large museums around the world, but there is a nice selection here. The museum begins with a very interesting timeline of her life...More
Thoroughly enjoyed our museum visit. The front desk volunteer was kind enough to mention the museum membership option to us which was a great value and includes a discount in the gift shop among other niceties. The works of art on display were magnificent and...More
My adult daughters and I spent over an hour in the museum and enjoyed every minute of it. What a wonderful way to spend the morning! Not only do you get to see Georgia O'Keefe's wonderful art, but you also learn a bit about her...More

We did not go to Ghost Ranch. However, we thought there was a nice representation of her work in the Museum, plus biographical artifacts and a nice little movie. There is even a live webcam of her garden. We were in no way disappointed and really enjoyed the museum. It's just off of the Plaza, so easy to get to and you can go through the whole thing without making a huge time commitment (plus the little gift shop). Here's an idea we did that I would recommend, but you need to plan this at least the day before. Call the restaurant Eloisa (in the Drury Plaza Hotel) and arrange to have the Georgia O'Keefe tasting menu for dinner on the evening of the same day that you go to the Georgia O'Keefe Museum, so that way you can have a "multi-sensory" Georgia O'Keefe day!
