I have been on multiple guided hunts and my trip with Alaska Coastal Outfitters was without exception my best trip ever. The knowledge and professionalism of the entire crew was world class. The crew, accommodations, and scenery were as good as it gets. Luke was extremely helpful in our pre-trip planning to ensure we were completely prepared. This trip exceeded my expectations from start to finish.

Luke Bastion and his crew made this an unforgettable fishing trip. Luke knows where to find the fish and provides an unmatched trip through the waters of SE Alaska. Our group of six, two son-in-laws and three grandsons, were treated to great fishing, unbelievable views, and unforgettable adventures, including fishing for salmon with grizzly bears. Luke and his crew think of everything. You just need to show up and enjoy the adventure.

I had a great experience with Alaska Coastal Outfitters. I could not recommend them more for anyone looking for an amazing trip around SE Alaska. Their professionalism, work ethic, and personablility was second to none. I have been on many other guided hunting and fishing trips; my trip with Alaska Coastal Outfitters put my past experiences to shame and raised the bar for all outfitters. The atmosphere was relaxed, their knowledge was very impressive, the food was amazing and the work done by all staff was top notch. Luke (our captain) was patient, calm, professional, and personable. Porter (Luke's son) was mature far beyond his years, knowledgable, hard working, and funny.. Conrad was impressively polite, respectful, knowledgable, experienced, and incredibly hard working. Matt (the chef) is an artist with culinary cuisine. AJ (Luke's) wife put personal touches on the trip that went above and beyond. I had a great trip and cannot wait to come back.

My trip was set up by American Hero Adventures. The captain & crew of the Huntress were above reproach. Conrad is a phenomenal deck hand ensuring to teach & assist instead of just doing it for us. Matt the chef made the most amazing food, and the portions were perfect. Luke & his young son were great and very accommodating. I dont think a group of Disabled Veterans & First Responders could have been on a better boat with a better crew.

We had the opportunity to spend last week in Alaska for the vacation of a lifetime with Luke and his outstanding crew. It really is difficult to put into words how much we enjoyed this trip. We spent a week enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery in the world and filling the coolers with delicious fish. We witnessed pods of whales feeding, brown bear and more bald eagles than we could count. We caught halibut, several species of salmon and numerous other species of fish, as well as Dungeness crab and delicious shrimp. The accommodations on the boat were outstanding and the crew couldn’t have been better. The food served on the boat wasn’t good, wasn’t great, but was phenomenal. The chef and his meals were top notch. I would highly recommend Alaskan Coastal Outfitters for a serious fishing trip or family vacation.

My fourth trip to the inland passage and absolutely the best ever!! Comfortable accomodations, excellent food and fishing. We left with 300# of processed/frozen coho and halibut. Boat was spotlessly clean the entire trip. Freshly caught crab, shrimp, halibut and salmon were expertly prepared by Chef Matt. The hot springs excursion was amazing. Thank you Capt. Luke, AJ, Conrad, Porter, Sawyer and Matt for a trip none of us will ever forget.

This was a trip of a lifetime. Luke and his crew are the best in every way. We caught all the fish (King and silver salmon, halibut, and rock), were up close and personal with bears, and had whales doing their thing just off the boat. Matt, the chef never ceased to amaze us with great food at every meal. The hard working deck hands, Conrad and Porter did all the work while we enjoyed fishing, site seeing, and just enjoying the trip. Luke Bastian knows this part of SE Alaska like the back of his hand and took us to some of the most amazing places. They had our more than 200 pounds of fish, cleaned, portioned, vacuum sealed, frozen and packed in fish boxes for us to fly home with as checked baggage. It just doesn't get any better than this.

Captain Luke is extremely knowledgable and will ensure you maximize your time in Alaska by bringing you to the most breathtaking sights there are to see, while also getting you on some amazing fish. His crew was excellent to say the least. Matt is the best cook I have ever experienced and every dish will blow your mind. The deckhands, Porter and Conrad work nonstop to keep you on the fish, and were a blast to be around. Alaska is one of the most amazing places to see, but I would not have wanted to do it any other way. Thank you so much for the experience!!!

My experience with Luke and Alaska Coastal Outfitters was nothing short of amazing and everything I had hoped for. From the very beginning ACO provided prompt and helpful communication, including gear lists, travel requirements and accurate expectations. The Huntress provides very comfortable accommodations and serves as a more than adequate hunting lodge. This along with amazing food, a professional and very qualified crew and Alaska's incredible sites all combine to make for a first class adventure. I cannot say enough about my hunting experience with Luke, and can only hope I am lucky enough to hunt with him again. Alaska Coastal Outfitters set the bar as high as it goes. Great outfitter, great people and an example of honesty and integrity, not just in business practices, but as quality individuals.

This was my first time on a liveaboard fishing boat and it did not disappoint! The boat was spacious and comfortable. The scenery was breathtaking. The food was great. The company was even greater. And MOST importantly, the fishing was world class. I will never forget fighting those kings and pulling up the shrimp and crab pots!
