Bring the kids to this outdoor sculpture garden where the Cat in the Hat, the Grinch, and other beloved Dr. Seuss characters are immortalized in bronze, life-size statues all designed by Geisel's step-daughter, sculptor Lark Grey Dimond-Cates.

What a lovely sculpture garden in the midst of hard-hit Springfield. As a Dr. Seuss fan from childhood, it was fun to see my picture-book icons brought to live.

This small courtyard filled with oversized sculptures invites kids to climb and play on arches, benches, and bridges. As others have pointed out, you can quickly wander into some very rough neighborhoods. However, the sculpture garden and surrounding museum complex are clean and seem safe....More

I am not too familiar with Dr. Seuss, but the sculptures seemed to draw a lot of kids. Nice walkways around.

Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden is just a small scale place. Don't think of taking a bus or train and walk there because you will walk through dangerous neighborhood. Not recommended to walk into this area after 6 pm.

We were there in October of last year, so there were plenty of parking spaces that is right there. There are some on the streets, too.

I think they would love it if they know the characters from the books! However, I don't think it would be worth the 2 hour drive just for the garden.
