I would have given this a 5...but, more on that later. We love the ability to go our own pace and chat in near total privacy...except for an occasional critter or two. There are multiple "greens" for your location and distance...trailhead to trailhead. Depending on...More

The recently added dog park at the Cason Lane Trail head is very nice. There were several people there in Tuesday during the afternoon, but it was certainly not crowded. The dogs- and their owners- were having a great time.

Murfreesboro locals appreciate this gem of a green resource right in their backyard. This is a large, safe, clean greenway excellent for a walk, bike or dog walk. It is well maintained and offers ample entrance and exit points. Recommended at any time of year...More

My wife and I enjoyed this a lot, at the end of winter with signs that Spring was on its way. Nice location and maintained groomed with care. Good views and even on a cold day, good place to spend some time outside.

I've been here a handful of times through the years. On my most recent visit, I took my two children. We started on the trailhead off Thompson Lane. Walked to the Stones River Battlefield and then back up the Greenway a little over a mile....More

We live nearby so it's not a big deal to go. We love the water and walking trails. Not real keen on people bringing their dogs to poo there, although most clean it up.

Bring my granddaughter here to play and then we walk the greenway. While it is all paved it is still a great stroll and plenty of wildlife and critters to watch for.

There are many different Trailheads to enter the Murfreesboro Greenway. All of them can be used for walking, jogging, enjoying the scenery, or checking out historic locations. Some of them also have restrooms (Cason Lane and General Bragg on College St.). Both these locations have...More

Although there are many open fields, there are no soccer fields on the battlefield. There are adjacent soccer fields behind SportsCom (2.2 miles), Barfield-Crescent Park (2.4 miles), or various close schools.

Absolutely. There are lots of joggers particularly in the evening. Very safe and lots of shade.
I remember walking on the greenway on a path next to a bridge and there were some small waterfalls....where is this and/or where are the best waterfalls??? Also, what time does the greenway close tonight? Is the Island in the pond near MMC?

I believe they close 30 minutes before sunset everyday. To be honest, I do not really remember any waterfalls, but if you do want to see some waterfalls, you should go to Fall Creek Falls or Burgess Falls.
