Tons of brochures, pamphlets and papers (well-organized by category) offer oodles of options; a great staff is also on-hand to answer any questions. Be sure to pick up a copy of Flagstaff LIVE! and The Noise to see what events are happening. There is a public restroom and also an outgoing maildrop -- two things travelers really appreciate.

In the heart of downtown in the historic train station (the railroad has always been integral to Flagstaff), the visitor center has every brochure known to woman or man for things to do or see within a large radius. It's not staffed that I'm aware of, but there's so much information otherwise available that that shouldn't be an issue. I... More

Impromptu day trip to Flagstaff. Ended up downtown and watched the Armed Forces parade. Really awesome small town feel. Walked across the tracks to check out the train station and visitors center. Great people there working and volunteering their time. A must stop in if you're in the area or even passing thru.

PHENOMENAL. OUTSTANDING. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming staff. Very pleasant interior. All the information you will ever need for the local area, Flagstaff, The Grand Canyon, Sedona. One example. We were en route to the Grand Canyon. You can go via HWY 180 or via HWY 89 North to HWY 64 at Cameron. We were told take HWY 89 to... More

We stopped in during a hastily-put-together walking tour of part of the old downtown area. The visitors' center is in the old railroad depot, and even though passenger service is much less frequent than, say, in the 1950's, there are plenty of freight trains rumbling through. Exciting for anyone who gets mesmerized by the passing engines and cars. The people... More

We arrived by train at 11:45pm, so next morning we set out to see what this town has to offer. Great displays and wonderful staff quick to answer questions.

In the old railway station, this is a large venue. Lots of information for free and three staff to answer any questions.

This Center has a gift shop, informative workers and even train models. Great place to get info on the town and surrounding attractions.
