We camped here on a weekday. One other camper was there so it was without a lot of human noise. We did hear a lot of insects, tree frogs and birds. Swimming is allowed at the lake at your own risk. It's large enough for motor boats and ideal for canoeing with a few coves to explore. Primitive camping; no... More

The this lake is great for fishing and camping. It's also free. I liked camping right next to the water. It provided fire pits and great fishing piers. The view is beautiful day or night. It is also very quiet. I heard that there is a beautiful waterfall but could not find it. I plan on going back to Chase... More

We went to Cottonwood Falls to find the waterfall. Could not find it. Chase State Fishing Lake was quiet, serene, and beautiful. Will definitely go there againl

Chase lake was a perfect little fishing lake. Very clean with several camping spots, picnic tables, and jetties to fish off of. There were also a couple of fish feeding stations on timers. You can't forget to check out the falls located right off the dam. There's a walking path that's been mowed that you can follow back to the... More

Nice large lake, with piers jutting out from the roadway that one can stand on and fish from. Lots of room, picnic areas and camping areas also. No charge. Dirt road. Seems like a very well liked fishing spot.

We hiked across the dam and down into the spillway. There are a couple of waterfalls there, which I am thinking would be spectacular with a bit of water. As it was, there was a trickle from a spring thanks to two years of drought in the area. The trail was easy to follow. Watch out for weeds. We didn't... More

Camped here for one night. It appealed to me because I just have a car and a tent, and don't like camping near the RVers and their parade of noisy devices. Campground was surprisingly clean for a free one. No alcohol allowed, which I guess makes sense. Camp site included a grill, picnic table and was right on the lake.... More

nice little fishing lake. My family likes to camp here, rustic camping. Fishing is usually good. Don't try to swim across, there are currents and people have drowned here. Chase County has many artists and good restaurants, as well as beautiful scenery with the Flint Hills. There is a hiking trail around the lake. They are strict about fishing licenses,... More

It's a lake which is great, but it has nothing to make it stand out as being better than many other little lakes.

I love Chase State Fishing Lake. Hiking around the hills is an experience as you explore around the stone outcroppings and discover the multi-level waterfalls at the outtake end of the lake. Beautiful place!
