Beautiful old cemetery, easily accessible and open to the public. Mausoleum is a nice post-humous construction of FLLWs original design. Visible from the street on a hillside by a pond. Lovely granite work.

This was part of a tour and was definitely more enjoyable for the commentary of the docent. It is starkly simple with a feeling of an ancient Greek amphitheater to it. I didn't find it particularly spiritual and it is now a commercial property. You...More

At first, I entered in mausoleums. It was super nice with stained-glass windows. However, we were evidently not in the right place. Thanks to a map we found how to go to the Blue Sky Mausoleum. Once we stopped at the Blue Sky Mausoleum, we...More

This aspect of our All Wright All day tour was a little disappointing in that it was built for Darwin Martin, et al but is not utilized for him or his family because he couldn't afford to be buried there...a millionaire gone penniless....sad story. But...More

While driving through Forest Lawn to find this site we stumbled upon many historic gems including the Darwin Martin grave, beautiful mausoleums, deer and a Great Blue Heron. The Wright site was stunning in its simplicity and beauty. The somber military funeral with taps echoing...More

I was very impressed by both the design and the beautiful setting that this was placed in. It is another fine example of Buffalo architecture

Considering how prolific Frank Lloyd Wright was, it is amazing that he only designed one funerary piece. Although not the original planned setting, this one is located in a much nicer spot. I understand that spots are still available.

We had some time to kill as our tour of the Darwin Martin House was not going to happen for another hour, so off we went to the Forest Lawn Cemetery to see Frank Lloyd Wrights mausoleum design. The mausoleum was designed by FLW for...More

Good commentary by guide on tour. Added to the history of Wright and the Martin family. Can be viewed outside the tour as it in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

We are so happy you enjoyed this all day tour experience. We felt that having a guide on board adds value to this excursion since many of our guests are from out of town. I bet even the locals get a chance to learn something.
