If you are in the area do not miss walking through the lobby. The skylight is amazing. Take notice of the working mail chute at the entrance where the elevators are located. We were told it was the only working mail chute still in use...More

Worth walking through just because of the architecture... but also there's a Charlie the Grocer stand - a GREAT place to try "Beef on Weck."

Inside you will find a mini food court. We shared a bowl of hot mash potatoes topped with roast beef and gravy for less than $8. There's a taco place too and a juice counter. Worth a look and a taste.

We stopped in during a self-guided walking tour of Buffalo ("Buffalo on Foot" pamphlet available for free from the inn where we stayed). There is a large public space you can walk around to enjoy the architecture.

If you love art deco architecture or architecture in general this is a must see! This ornately decorated building is understated from the outside, but a definite wow on the interior.

This is where we started our exploration of downtown Buffalo, and it is interesting to see. The vast glass-covered main hall is the main attraction.

Stunning building, awesome sunlight lobby. Just beware it is a privately owned up and running office building in downtown Buffalo, security is skepticle of people roaming around on the upper floors.

Apparently, at one time this was the largest office building in the US. (I think!?). Anway, some very beautiful spots inside this building in the lobby. Also, grab some great Beef on Weck at Charlie's in the lobby.

You won't see a more beautiful building with all the marble tiles and old elevators. It is a must see. If you love architecture and old buildings, this is a must see.
