when you complete the cliff walk, you can return to town by trolley, but if you have the energy, walk back on Bellevue Avenue. it is flat and easy to walk and takes you along all of the mansions from the front--quite the display of...More

Bellevue Avenue is the road that leads to the mansions, or "cottages" in Newport. I preferred seeing the homes on the Trolley as opposed to when we drove it ourselves. It's a great experience.

Take a drive down this beautiful Avenue. All the Masions are here. Each one offers a unique style and history off the families that lived and played here

We walked down bellevue ave- what a sight to see. Lots of history there. Many wealthy homes which some you can tour and others just to look at from the outside

There are so many mansions on this avenue, it's hard to keep track. Several are under the auspices of the Newport Historical Preservation Society. Others are museums and so forth, and some are still private.

This street is truly beautiful with fabulous "cottages" to see but at night is amazing. So many gorgeous home and gardens. A walk in the evening is romantic and fun.
