smelly walk. you are near the dying seaweed. can see a few mansions but most are hidden. parts of the walk are very tough (rocks) and not suitable for fat or younger people. getting to the end really not worth it.

We have driven and stopped along Ocean Drive in all seasons. The colors are vibrant and water always welcoming! Even in the dead of winter, when the seas are a bit rough and gray, and the leaves have left the trees, this is a lovely...More

beautiful and easy drive. It is quick. You only need a few minutes for it. I definitely recommend for adults - may be a little boring for some children

Most recently while I was in Newport, I took a ride along Ocean Dr. Which is about a 10 mile loop that ends in downtown Newport. There are so many beautiful homes and views of the ocean. Take the time to enjoy it. It is...More

Go south on Bellevue - go slow and enjoy all the beautiful well kept houses-- pass the Elms, Rosecliff, Marble House, Baileys Beach, etc. Drive into Castle Hill -- do the same at Fort Adams (rest rooms). Look back towards Newport Harbour--- enjoy!

Newport is so picturesque but it would be a great shame to only see the town and not 'Ocean Drive'. The road weaves in and out of some stunning scenery; coves, countryside and houses. I think Ocean Drive could possibly be the nicest place to...More

This drive was beautiful and is a must for all of those in Newport. Be careful not to park on the sides of the road and stop, it is not allowed.

We love visiting the Castle Hill Inn and Restaurant on the drive, adjacent to the Coast Guard station. Overlooking the Bay and ocean, the front lawn is the site of numerous concerts during the summer, like a movie scene... More

This is only a foot path on a rocky ledge if the sea! Padlock your bike at the end of the street at the entrance to the cliff walk.

I absolutely agree with the posting about hopping on 6 to 195 to get to Newport from the cape, but I also think by taking rt 138 vs 114 off of 24 once you get to the general area you will not only get a far more scenic ride... More
