This is a beautiful church with an amazing music ministry. They are finishing up installation of their pipe organ. I can't wait to return and see it.

As a follower of everything to do with Jacqueline Kennedy, it was a nice surprise to see the placate outside stating the Kennedys were married at St, Mary's. Beautiful old Church. priest had a lovely Irish brogue.

We attended Mass here and we sat in awe of the beauty that surrounded us: the stained glass, the wood work, the elegance of the church as a whole. We also were treated to hearing a priest (Fr. Charles) preach the Gospel as if he were telling a story. It was a wonderful experience.

A must stop if you like Kennedy history. Always fun to stand where history was made. A stop you should make as you take in Newport.

If you are in Newport, visit St. Mary's, the oldest Catholic Church in the area. Like most old churches, it has stained glass windows and beautiful wooden pews with high sides and nice kneeling benches.

Went to mass on Sunday. The service was great and the church itself was beautiful. Plus, so glad got to see where Jackie O and JFK got hitched.

Not much to look at from out side but beautiful and well kept on inside. We often go to mass here. But I do not find the pews comfortable.

Old architecture, the atmosphere of an old Cathedral ... you can almost see Jackie and JFK coming up the aisle ... all those years ago ...
