Nor would you want to. Thames is the most prominent attraction to this little NE coastal town. Whether you are walking for a drink, a meal or to see and be seen, cruisin in the car or on a scooter ... you just have to.

Lots to do and see. Good shopping, resturants and sights. It's better in summer but it's always fun.

Our hotel was on Thames, which was the perfect base for our weekend in Newport. We were able to walk to many bars and restaurants, and shops from our hotel.

The must see - place to see it all in Newport. Food, fun and lots of history. Took a lovely self guided walk on this street and many of the adjoining ones... imagining it in its earlier days.
