We had low expectations & were very pleasantly surprised by the entire tour. The crew was knowledgeable & pleasant. We even saw several America's Cup winners. We were lucky to see the Intrepid under full sale. We saw lighthouses of varied styles & loved the trip. Being at the end of the season, we had beautiful weather. The Newport Boat... More

You take this little launch to this spectacular little island in Narraganset bay , always private so it's who ever is on the tour . You can explore the island and I believe remnants of some military buildings? Then can go in the light house - best view of the harbor and east passage - at times during the year... More

Historical and environmental education on a tour of the lighthouse and the bay itself. Learned about rules and laws put in place to save the bay.

An excellent tour of Newport Harbor but the visit to Rose Island is a must. the tour allows for stop overs at each location it lands. Rose Island Lighthouse provides a look back at what it was like to be a lighthouse keeper. In addition you can make reservations to stay by the week or just overnight.

We were able to enjoy the Lighthouse on the 4th of July. A tender took us from the State Park to the Lighthouse. Here we enjoyed live music, hamburgers, hotdogs, and chicken...watermelon, and adult beverages. After dinner we took a little tour of the museum and bought some souveniers. When it got dark, this was the best place in the... More

This was the second time my husband and I took the Rose Island Tour on a Canada New England cruise. We enjoyed it more the second time since more of the lighthouse was opened and we were also allowed to go to the top offering nice views of Newport. There is a very steep ladder that allows you to visit... More

Of course, we fell in love with the lighthouses! But we were very taken with the tour of Newport Harbor. What a beautiful seaport, and one with a lot of history. We had a wonderful time walking around and shopping.

This historic lighthouse was built in 1869 and is now operated by a nonprofit citizens group as an envirronmental education center, depending on wind power, rainwater and "volunteering" guests. You may visit via ferry, plan a "working" overnight visit or simply reserve one of the rooms for a unique stay, turning back the hands of time for a while. Cathy,... More

I am talking about spending the night at the lighthouse. The RI Lighthouse foundation is who you contact for the reservations. Spend the night or two or the month! It is a peaceful, healthy serene environment. I went in November and spent two nights. It was perfect weather being brisk, windy and sunny! You can sit and do nothing, walk... More

Newport harbor is must see attraction in Newport RI.Fun to walk and to see so many sailboats. Many good restaurants and shops to visit. In the evening it becomes a huge party place.
