We visited the memorial after it has been closed due to structural damage, so I wasn't sure how good it would be without the experience inside the memorial. Turned out to still be worth the trip. They show a 20 minute film before you get...More

Out trip to see the Arizona Memorial was good, but not great. Memorial was closed due to damage, you only got to ride by it. The exhibits are very informative and educational. Slow repair response by Hawaii officials to repair the memorial speaks volume to...More

For repairs. However, there is a boat that will get you close to it.... Still astounding after so many years (76.5 years) this ship is still weeping black tears.... Locals told us that "when a sailor that survived the attack passes and have asked to...More

Booked a guided tour/transport to Pearl Harbor. The movie before the boat to the memorial was the better part of the trip. Because the dock is unsafe, the visitor ferry just goes back and forth in front of the memorial. Tip, don’t worry which side...More

This is a very moving site. The displays are very well constructed and help understand the US entry into the war and the need for vigilance. Unfortunately the dock at the Arizona memorial is currently being repaired so you do not get off the boat...More

I have a tour booked where we are picked up from our hotel at 6:00am and returned at 1:30pm. We are touring the Arizona and the Missouri. I missed the 2 month out advanced ticket purchase and am wondering if it would be smarter to cancel the tour and try to get tickets from recreation.gov the day before. I would purchase tour 3 from recreation.gov if I buy one. We will be arriving the day before and will still be on Eastern time (6 hours ahead). I am traveling with 2 children (9&11) and my parents (70&71). What would be the simplest option-staying with the tour OR DIYing it? My dad only wants to take the kids to Arizona and Missouri. I want to do the tour that is the least taxing on my parents and where we can go first thing. If you get online the day before, do you really get the option to purchase 7:00am tickets or would I more than likely be coming at a later time?
