Moving....a must for everyone. The monument is outstanding and beyond all of my expectations. Brought me to tears and made me even more proud to be an American.

A very moving moment is to walk onto the memorial. The silence. You have quite a few people around you and you can hear a pin drop. The names on the wall, what more can you say.

History at your fingertips. Super interesting. Worth the entrance fee, heat and crowds. Eat first and wear sunscreen

We came here early on Sunday morning 8AM, not a lot of people when we arrived. As we parked and started to walk towards the entrance, the navy base near by started playing our national anthem over loud speakers so we stopped and faced the...More

I have a tour booked where we are picked up from our hotel at 6:00am and returned at 1:30pm. We are touring the Arizona and the Missouri. I missed the 2 month out advanced ticket purchase and am wondering if it would be smarter to cancel the tour and try to get tickets from recreation.gov the day before. I would purchase tour 3 from recreation.gov if I buy one. We will be arriving the day before and will still be on Eastern time (6 hours ahead). I am traveling with 2 children (9&11) and my parents (70&71). What would be the simplest option-staying with the tour OR DIYing it? My dad only wants to take the kids to Arizona and Missouri. I want to do the tour that is the least taxing on my parents and where we can go first thing. If you get online the day before, do you really get the option to purchase 7:00am tickets or would I more than likely be coming at a later time?
