The memorial was not opened because of construction but the boat ride and tour of the harbor was interesting. Don't bring purses or back packs. You can check them for $3. Movie is also interesting. GO EARLY or get reserved tickets because by 10 am...More

If it is windy, they stop the ferries, and you aren't actually able to go to the memorial. This is what happened the day I was there. You can still see the rest of the Pearl Harbour Museum though.

Tried to get tickets for 6 people on line a couple of months before our trip and could not get them. Very busy time as U.S. Summer holidays and 4 th July weekend. Had been before years ago and it was quite a memorable experience...More

My cousin and I got up early and went to the Arizona. Which was great because they closed the memorial because of wind very soon after. We spent a few hours in the WWII museum after seeing the memorial. I saw the quote that read...More

To see all the hundreds of names of the sailors killed aboard the Arizona up on the wall was very sad. It is worth the trip out to see the remains of the ship under the water. We caught a bus there and were there...More

I was very impressed with the USS Arizona's tour spot. It was a very humbling and unique experience. I would recommend this to anyone but especially those who love history!

The dock to the USS Arizona was being repaired during our visit. We were able to see the Arizona only from the shuttle boat. We were terribly upset that we were not able to completely get the full experience. We not told about the closure...More

This is a beautiful memorial. We learned a lot. There is a movie, museum, and the memorial over the actual wreckage. There was a survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack on site the day we visited for photo ops and book signing at the gift...More

The Memorial for the Arizona was very moving. There is a 20 minute video about the attack before you board the boat to head out. The silhouette of the Arizona is haunting. Go early as tickets go fast.

The dock was closed when we visited. We were still able to watch the movie and go out on the ferry. The ferry took us around and went to a few sides of the memorial.

What is the best way to get tickets ? I've tried booking online even willing to pay the $ fee but all dates are sold out. Why even give tourists a option to purchase tickets if they're already sold out months in advance? I've read go early. The doors open at 7am so I assume standing in line at that time should assure you a day ticket ? Can someone who's gone help me out so I can plan my day. Thanks !

The reserved times go pretty quickly but they have 1300 "Walk-in" tickets available. We got there at 6:15am and were about 100th in the line by then. There are about 140 tickets per time slot so we got the first slot of... More
When you say you can check your bags, what about luggage? We were thinking about stopping there on the way in or on our way out & would have carry ons. Could those be checked or is that too much?

I didn't see anyone with regular travel luggage. As common sense, since it's a national monument, you probably aren't allowed to bring "big" things in. Make sense?
Would I be allowed to take my iPhone 6s on the tour rather than a "normal" camera?
