The day prior at 7am they issue tickets for reservations for the following day. We booked tickets for the following day for the audio tour. We arrived in plenty of time to get our tickets and head to the USS Arizona. We watched the excellent 20 minute video on the history of the bombing. We then headed to the boat... More

We visited with our three teens. Very moving memorial. A must see if you are on Oahu. We were there 6 hours and could have stayed longer. (Would have if memorial was not closing for day). Whether a history buff or not, this memorial takes a full day to do it justice.

A must for any visitor to Honolulu with plenty to reflect and much to understand. Being a veteran I found the atmosphere moving and I would like to return.

A visit to this memorial is quite moving. If course you should have a basic understanding of what led to the Japanese surprise attack on the morning on December 7th before you visit. The awareness you have of the lives lost and resting just below is ever present. It's a somber visit but one that can not and should not... More

Visiting this monument was an incredible experience. It is something anyone spending time in Honolulu or on Oahu should add to the itinerary. If you have a rental car there was parking and TheBus stops there, so it's easy enough to do without a formal tour company. You can make an advanced reservation online and reserve an audio tour. This... More

We visited Pearl Harbor for the first time and were not disappointed. It is well laid out, informative and easy to maneuver. There is not more to say than, this is a place that everyone should visit and experience. The audio guided system is a must and provides important information as you visit each reference point. The first thing you... More

Several years ago we took our grade 10 and 12 teenagers kicking and screaming to the site.. You want a holiday cruise - then we visit Pearl Harbor first. A few weeks later our son, failing to get her attention, interrupts his history teacher to correct a statement our Pearl Harbor. After being told he was wrong twice, He blurted... More

I went on a cooler day as did not want to be on the beach. I had been to Waikiki about times but never felt intersted till I heard people saying it is a must for this place as it survived WW11. I was so glad that I went. The history is so important to this place. Get head phones... More

The visitors' center at Pearl Harbor sits on the water across from the AZ memorial. Don't miss the museum or the film that is shown before boarding the boat to the memorial. Hot dog lunch not recommended.

This was a very emotional stop for us. You will have a set time to Visit the Memorial and see the short movie. You MUST be on time or you will not go on the launch. No backpacks, purses or bags. If it is the only thing you do in Hawaii it is a must. Going with a tour is... More
