Very interesting tour to see the close quarters these guys had to live in. Go ahead and take the tour.

We did this because it came with our Go Oahu Cards, but honestly, if you've been in a sub, there's nothing super special about this one. It would have cost our family of five $60 for 15-20 minutes. Skip it unless you have the pass.

Tour the Bowfin and experience life on a sub during WWII. You will leave with a great appreciation of those who served on submarines. The adjacent museum is also worthwhile. Ask at the des for the handout if you have questions about the battle flags.

Each place in the submarine is accessible, you may stay as long as you like, the vessel is very well preserved and maintained. An experience!

$12.00 was a bit much for this. the audio tour was interesting but there needed to be a lot more signage and more crowd control so that you weren't trying to move on when other groups were still in the room.

Very commercialized and they charge for everything unlike the visit to the USS Arizona. Short walk from the Pearl Harbor center.

We went to the USS Arizona Memorial and decided to take the self tour of the USS Bowfin. How did our troops handle that? You have to be willing to go, knowing your life is not guaranteed on a vessel like this. It is very...More

I don't think so. I recall waiting for the Arizona film to start and then going out to the site but I think for the submarine you just go whenever.
