My father-in law was a submariner in the Pacific in WWII. When my wife saw the symbol of the submariner entering the exhibit, she broke down and cried. She still has his pin. What an experience to actually see a sub like he one he...More

A quick walk through to appreciate WWII submarine life. Excellently preserved. Beware tight passageways. If at Pearl, do see it.

A great experience at what it would be like to be aboard a sub at sea, very confined and would be hard to take, the steps to go on board are steep but well worth the effort, great photo oppurtunity

Excellent taste of life aboard a submarine. Being able to walk through the sub was so very interesting and a really enjoyable way to spend and hour.

Going aboard a sub is very cool. Get first hand look at how they lived aboard the sub and how tight it was with all those sailors

It was very nice to be able to tour a submarine and see how men survived and lived on it. The tour was either audio or walk through, but we chose the audio, which was very informative and was included in the tour. We had...More

The audio guided tour of the submarine was fantastic, and very educational. Would highly recommend. We used our Oahu GO card to gain entry as it is an included feature

Great to see how Submariners actually lived and worked, don't know how they did it (living in a Tin Can !!). Well maintained and organised. Another Must see at Pearl Harbour.

The USS Bowfin is situated at Pearl Harbour and is open for visitors to explore at their leisure. You will marvel at how the sailors lived and worked in such confined spaces for long periods of time. It is an interesting exhibit to tour.

Getting through the doors of the submarine was difficult for my husband with back and leg problems and for myself with a foot that I have to wear a brace on. Once we figured out how to do it, it was okay. This should be pointed out to people who may have disabilities. Was a very good tour and well worth it. It was not crowded the day we were there, so we were able to take our time.

When you purchase a ticket for a certain day, do you have to go at a particular time like you do for the Arizona Memorial?

I don't think so. I recall waiting for the Arizona film to start and then going out to the site but I think for the submarine you just go whenever.
