When visiting the Pearl Harbor memorials you should of course, if you have sufficient time, visit the sub Bowfin. This memorial don't take much time, I think a maximum of maybe 30-45 minutes without guide.

It was very interesting to discover how the submariners live. It gives you an idea of how difficult it must be to live underwater in the middle of the ocean. The museum on the side is also very interesting with lots of cool artifacts on...More

Enjoyed our visit. The Bowfin was commissioned one year to the day after Pearl Harbor was attacked and played a vital role in the war that followed. The exhibit is well maintained and very well presented.

We were lucky to visit on Pearl Harbor Day. Amazing experience & everyone should see it at least once in their lifetime.

Very much enjoyed this tour...although you might not like it if you are claustrophobic ...there are a few hatches you need to go through...and these sailors were pretty sleek. Amazing to see the inner workings of a sub...especially the bunking. Much respect.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Bowfin. It's a very fitting tribute to the area and the submarine was clean, well maintained and well-preserved. If you are in the area I highly recommend you check it out.

They have a free audio tour that is fantastic for this tour. The museum is also very informative for learning about the history of subs (it includes more then just WW2 subs). The walk through is tight, but very interesting to do and see how...More

While worth a look really include this in your broader list to Pearl Harbour. The museum is also interesting but crawling through the sub gives you a hint of the conditions it must have been like from the sailors - definitely not for tall people!

The Bowfin itself is just a self-guided walkthrough. It really depends when you go/how busy it is. We went during off-season and it took us about 20-30 minutes.
