Great shopping area, easy to get around with bus service. Only a $1.00 for seniors. Great buys for gifts.

Not what I remember. So many other beautiful places in Hawaii don't spend a lot of time. Shopping is good though.

Personally, I had no idea that Honolulu was full of such high end shops. Sadly one side of the city has been re-paved, with the other in waiting. Flat shoes a must. In all, an exicting city full of night life with street performances, markets and food stalls. Many of the large department stores open late at night which is... More

Downtown is pure FUN! Despite crowds of tourists, you can enjoys several stores, restaurants, beaches, parks, etc. in downtown. And there is very special festive atmosphere in the evening, when everyone is out and about. Don't miss Friday night fireworks at Hilton resort!

I won't lie - it's extremely busy. Traffic is crazy, you won't find a parking spot, alot of the stores are very high end / expensive, the massive hotels block the view of the ocean / beach, and there are ALOT of people. If that's what you're looking for, then the downtown area is perfect for you. It is clean,... More

We walked down here everyday. Many stores with a variety of items for sale. The crowds seem to less congested during the day.

Great mix of things to do for everyone. Between the tourists, locals and plethora of GI's stationed here, it is always an interesting mix of people wherever you go downtown.

We enjoy walking around the downtown of Honolulu after a short stop in Chinatown. The banking area has lovely little parklets between buildings and plenty of small restuarants on the lower floor level of the highrise businesses. An indication that they have good food at reasonable prices is to follow the popular spots that the employees out for lunchtime, are... More
