People talk down about Ala Moana Beach Park but I absolutely love it. It has a great local feel to it and the waters are incredibly calm making it one of the safest places to swim on the island.

Well set out paths and walking tracks and beach safe and wide for swimming. The park is well maintained and well situated close to the Ala Moana centre and transport.

This is definitely a beach the locals come to. Plenty of FREE PARKING and a lot of space to span out. Very calm waters. A lot of locals will bring pop up tents or have birthday parties here.
