Tucked away in a residential area south of Honolulu, Spitting Cave is one of the most spectacular sights on Oahu. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes, the way down is not developed and will get slippery. I would not recommend to visit on a rainy day. Be prepared for mind blowing ocean views. The water color in front of the... More

If you like beach and water views. This is a must see. The island has many beautiful coastal views. I took a day tour of the island and enjoyed it. They gave you lots of information.

We were going down the list of "to-do's" in our tour guide and this came up. Hard to get to (drive through residential neighborhoods, rugged terrain) but we stuck with it. When you get there, you know you have gotten there. Wow!. Could have spent more time, just watching the rugged waves beat against the shore and then retreat to... More

Well a friend of mine wanted to go there so we took the bus to what he thought was the closest point, Im pretty sure we walked in circles for about an hour until we actually found it. Which wasnt a problem at all, we saw some really neat spots. I wouldnt be able to find it again if my... More

Geocaching brought me here to learn about the geology of this site, but it's a familiar scenic location for 'Lost' fans as well. The site is accessed from a residential street down a pathway that's not friendly to mobility-impaired persons. It's recommended to keep a tight rein (as in hold their hands) if you bring children here too. When you... More

This is an out of the way place that the locals know about, and for any visitor to be surprised at. It's not the easiest to get down to if you have mobility problems. The surf wasn't big so the spit was small. The glittering in the rocks around the viewing area was also lovely. Worth a look if you... More

Stay off the rocks, observe from the proper lookout area. If you get onto the ledge you may be swept into the ocean, then the people trying to rescue those swept away are put into danger. Some are rescued, but cut up very badly by the lava rocks. Those who are not so lucky, have their bodies turn up off... More

on a trip around the island this is on of the spots they stop to see. The explanation of what to look for was actually more interesting than the site itself. you had to wait until just the right time to see the mist and if you didn't concentrate and if you didn't know exactly where to look, you;d miss...
