Had a good experience with the starter, probably because I respect the Hawaiian culture when I'm here, unlike morons who talk like they own the place when they VISIT. It'll take you a long way on the islands if you're not pompous. Course was in better shape than 2 of the more expensive places I played. Enjoy your time and... More

For visitors who are looking at just playing an inexpensive round in Hawaii($95 includes golf, power cart & club rental), this should fit the bill. Otherwise you'll be looking at paying $125-$185 playing at Resort Courses. Add $35-$75 for transportation add $40-60 for club rentals. As far as Ala Wai goes, it's a municipal course so all the staff are... More

So to start it off, it cost around 120$ each person for 18 holes, cart, rental clubs. We tee'd off just after 1pm. First hole was fine, then we had to wait FOURTY minutes at hole 2 because they don't understand how to space people out. At this time we were just going to get our money back, they said... More

While visiting Oahu, my husband wanted to play a round of golf. Ala Wai was recommended since it was close to the hotel we were staying at. Since I did not bring my own clubs, I had to rent a set. The set was awful - it needed new grips. The worn out grips ruined my shirt. I was charged... More

Felt like I disturbed the starter and the members. I asked politely about playing 18 holes greenfee. I was alone, so I expected to sign up and wait the next available teetime. The starter did not seem interested at all, and only said...9 holes...9 holes... The time was 1 pm and sundown was not threatening me playing 18 holes. A... More

This municipal golf course was a mile from our hotel. It is supposedly the most played golf course in the world. The previous golf course we played was all rolling hills, so the fact that this course is flat was appealing- at least on paper. It is a no frills course with the no frills price, but boy did we...
