Manoa Falls, Kolowalu, and Pua Pua trails --- all in Manoa, on Oahu are CLOSED!!. You will will be given a huge monetary fine for entering. Also, if you need to be rescued the City & County of Honolulu will send you the bill for the rescue. In Fall & Winter months Manoa has a lot of rain so these trails are extremely dangerous to hike because they are muddy & full of mosquitoes. BEWARE: there are homeless people living along the trails. We took this hike as part of a Disney adventure and loved it! The fals are lovely, the path a bit muddy but the unique bamboo forest was the best.(It’s currently closed for renovations.)

There is paid parking and stores/restrooms near the trailhead. Date of experience: November 2018…
