It is amazing that as much of this ship survived. the restoration of the paddle wheel is amazing. Seeing the before pictures of the ship made me appreciate how much work went into the restoration. Definately a must for Civil War buffs

This is small, but very interesting. It's part of the national park, so I highly recommend going in while you're there. Very interesting all the items found with the ship as well as the ship.

This was part of our guided tour by Louis Logue. He added a lot to the exhibit with his knowledge and stories about the ship, including how it was made, found and restored. Fascinating exhibit.

The USS Cairo is a fascinating and well preserved specimen with great information boards explaining its functions and history. Inside the museum has many interesting displays.

An awesome preservation of this ship, you get to see the actual ship and learn more about it, inside through the small museum. It was a nice "mid way" point along the battlefield park tour in Vicksburg.

No. It is a National Park. Fee per car. If you're a Veteran, you can get a lifetime pass good for all National parks.
