We visited in April with two children 8 and 11. The NPS employees were friendly and helpful through our visit. The tour was fun for the kids, who completed the junior ranger program. I would recommend a visit if you have the opportunity.

Passing through Cincinnati again, I found some extra time to revisit one of my favorite spots in Presidential history. I find the life and Presidency of W. H. Taft very interesting, and being where the young Will Taft grew up gives a good foundation to help better learn about our 27th President. While most of the furniture and decor in... More

Stopped in to take in a little bit of history before heading off to Louisville. Found it very interesting to learn about Taft's association with Quebec, Canada where they had a family cottage. The Park Ranger that spoke on the tour was very friendly and knowledgeable about the house and President Taft and his family. Some beautiful artifacts from Taft's... More

I visited here to purchase my National Forest Service Lifetime Senior Pass prior to the price increase from $10 to $80. I have lived in the area most of my life and had never been to the Taft house. I ended up spending close to two hours talking with the National Park Service Ranger and learning a lot about the... More

Stopped in on Friday early and only one other couple. The Ranger giving the home tour was very knowledgeable about Taft's upbringing and Presidency. Tour took about 40 minutes. Very basic home but interesting, exhibits look a little dated but information was good. It's free!

This is one of the smaller presidential tours we've taken. The visitor center shows a video and shows some artifacts. Touring the old house shows how the family lived. The tour guides were great telling about his life and accomplishments. With the guides stories and what was shown on the video and readings in the center, one gets what a... More

Knowing very little about Taft, my friends and I stopped here en route to Louisville. The ranger who gave us the tour was animated and interesting, sharing many family stories about Taft's childhood. At the end of the tour, there was time to look at exhibits, watch a movie, and visit a small museum. I really enjoyed my time there,... More

Near the top of the hill on Auburn Ave is the William Howard Taft National Historic Site. The visitor's center is a tiny building next to the house with a similarly small parking lot in front. The visitor's center has a nice film about Taft. It was very detailed and we learned a lot about Taft's life. The house tour... More
