Iconic location - good for meeting up with groups of people. There always seems to be something going on. Convenient bus and Streetcar access. Plenty of tables with shade umbrellas and I saw (but didn’t use) public restrooms.

I know Fountain Square is iconic and there are lots of fun things to do here but with the addition of the bistro in the corner, the square just looks really junky and crowded.

I took a stroll after dinner in the area on a mid-week evening. The plaza around the fountain had some type of trivia event going on with the locals. Also, be aware that there are many homeless folks in the area. Otherwise, nice fountain view.

After hearing about the creation and explanation of this fountain, it was something we really wanted to see.

We always enjoy going down to Fountain Square. Always something going on. Great feel downtown. Lots of restaurants in the area. Easy walk to The Banks.

A great place to go and relax to local entertainment with dancing food and beer to purchase. It is fun and the dance area stayed full.

Beautiful spot in town and they try to have a lot of different activities going on here for Holidays and special occasions, we were passing by and stopped to sit and enjoy the view and to people watch.

We were there on a family outing before the Aquarium. The kids had a great time running in the fountain area.

I believe that the German market that you are reference is 'Findlay Market' which is on the northwest side of downtown. I think that it is only open during daytime hours. It is better and livelier during warmer months
