I wanted to go to Cincinnati and show my wife where I went to a 2 week school back in 1981. Cincinnati is a place I liked as a larger city. We went to Fountain Square, plenty of places to park with in walking distance....More
This is a must see in Cincinnati!!! The serenity and entertainment was very nice in the evenings. Our hotel was just a block away and it was great to go listen and watch the beautiful colors on the fountain.
We go there all the time but we had to make a special trip the weekend after the 5/3rd shooting. The Lady should have never had to see such a heinous attack, but the city came together and left flowers at her feet & celebrated...More

It was a fountain in a square. Not really comfortable seating and not much happening around it. We saw it and that was about it. Don’t go out of your way to find it, but if you’re passing by it’s worth a peek.
We got there for the Moon Festival, so the square was surrounded by marketing tents. Could not see the famous fountain until inside the event. Otherwise a great - clean and popular place with lots of local restaurants on the perimeter.

I believe that the German market that you are reference is 'Findlay Market' which is on the northwest side of downtown. I think that it is only open during daytime hours. It is better and livelier during warmer months
