At fountain square there is a large fountain in the center of it. Nightly they might have a band preform with a large video screen behind them. There are also several resturants next to the square with a option for ice cream. Overall its a...More

It's fun to take a few pictures and move onto something else. But it isn't very big, located in the center of downtown so cars galore. They do have concerts and host a lot of fun events however, the fountain really does take up a...More

A small square featuring a towering fountain. It seems to to be a venue for various activities. It is surrounded by a number of eateries, so an a easy place to visit and get a meal.

The big TV screen is fun too. Watch a Reds game with other people who don't have a ticket either. Lots of nearby places to experience different foods too.

I went to college in Cincinnati (1962-67) and remember Fountain Square when the fountain wasn't hemmed in by commercial buildings. It used to stand in a wide open space but is now only a short distance from a massive commercial building that dwarfs it. I...More

There was live music, food venders, people bustling around and an enjoyable experience. We were able to walk around un-bothered and check out the sites, the smells, and people watch. There is also seating available for those who prefer to watch from a seated position.

A must see (especially at night). So much history here and the changing light colors make for beautiful photo ops and viewing. Something going on every night with food trucks, music and people! Police presence is strong too so safe for families, indiviiduals, etc.

Took the trolley down to see the sights. Live bands playing 2 nights in a row. Right next to the Carew building. Go to the top well worth the price. Enjoy

The chess pieces are at Smale Park on the riverfront.
Is this German market on Fountain Square worth a trip for an out of towner looking for something to do for a couple hours?

I believe that the German market that you are reference is 'Findlay Market' which is on the northwest side of downtown. I think that it is only open during daytime hours. It is better and livelier during warmer months
Is the ice rink there in the summer
