Overview

Don't expect sidewalk viewing of lions, tigers or great apes, rather friendly interactions with the feathered and furry. Visitors can purchase animal feed items, such as parakeet sticks, and watch as the colorful birds land at their fingertips; feed cups to hand feed giant watusi and gentle llamas on the safari wagon ride, or bottle feed little lambs and goats. Roer's Zoofari also holds a "Creature Feature" at 10, noon and 2pm where guests enjoy an informal animal meet and greet with a parrot, ferret, alligator, snake or other small animal.

This was a nice little trip to make on the spur of the moment with my grandchildren, 10 and 7. It looks well kept, and the people are friendly. It isn't large, or comprehensive, but being small and not overwhelming is sometimes just exactly what...More

I know that more "humane" management has taken over Roer's Zoofari, but there are many FEWER exhibits than there used to be. Large barns are empty and there's not all that much to see. It's very expensive. The parakeet aviary is nice and fun to...More

My family loves this ZOO. It's not too big , but it's a good place for a day of family fun. Both my boys (5 and 10) love to feed all the animals, especially the birds. The bus tour is always exciting.

We took our 2 1/2 yr. old grandson. He enjoyed feeding the animals, especially the camel and giraffe. Some of the barnyard animals roam freely which is great for the kids but you do have to watch where you step. There is plenty of hand...More

My 5 year old grandson was mesmerized by the animals with whom he visited at this zoo. He delighted in feeding the birds and the goats and watching the monkeys. Naturally, the reptiles received particular attention. But the highlight of this adventure was going on...More

Great place to come in close contact with animals. Our four-year old loved it, albeit he does love animals. We feed up close goats, birds, a camel, and a giraffe, as well as bison and lamas from a bus. There were many other small animals...More

We were there mid day and it was pretty warm but the animals were all very willing to interact. It was a lot of fun.
