Tour through one of our planet’s most spectacular regions, with an expert naturalist as your guide. Our guides live and work in the local area and have a wealth of knowledge about life in the far north. Gain an up close and personal acquaintance with Alaska’s Wrangell-St. Elias country as we drive and hike in the Copper River Basin. This tour will cover local (and edible!) plants, geology, fish, birds, culture, history, wildlife and more. This tour is provided by the Wrangell Institute for Science and Environment, or WISE, a local 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides scientific and environmental education to all age groups, resources for learning, and support for scientific research.
