Yes it's busy because its all next to Old Faithful...but it's worth it. Lots of information and different forms of thermal activity from mud volcano to hot springs, to geysers. If you have the energy hike up the hill to Solitude Geyser. There was no...More

As with all of Yellowstone, you can just die from the people at the entrance. However, there are great sites away from the people. Just take the time get on a back trail and you'll find this a better experience.

Definitely worth seeing at least once. Yet again the number of people is a large detouring factor from visiting again, but what can you do?

This is near the Old Faithful, so yes, a bit crowded. However, the different formations you get to see as well as the different colors of those, that is really worth it.

The Upper Geyser Basin has a dense concentration of thermal features. Some very dramatic geysers can be seen along the walk if you're lucky to be nearby when one of them goes off. The main trail is not routed as a loop so you'll have...More

So many neat formations to see. Just a short loop around on a boardwalk. Our 7 year old did fine. Beautiful.

After visiting Old Faithful, this should be next on your list. There is nothing like it in the world. Plan to spend a day gradually exploring the many geysers and pool in the geological treasure. Most is accesible by boardwalk but there are other geysers...More

I found this area pretty amazing...the geology is interesting and to consider the activity in the earth below your feet is pretty cool. Highly recommend seeing all of this.

Hi Daniel: This is kind of a loaded question. That is if you are to go directly from Old Faithful up to the Morning Pool (near the end of the upper geyser basin) it is 1.5 miles. Depending on how often you stop, how fast... More

Summer is the busiest, that is when we were there, late June. I've also been there in early fall and that was very nice.
