We hit this geyser just as it was really starting to boil and boy did we get a show. It was as good as Old Faithful if not better. I can say it did last longer.

Really gorgeous hike to the geyser, which is by a river. Even though we didn't get to see the geyser go off, it was well worth the hike!

One of the best geysers to see in Yellowstone NP – great eruptions on a 3-hour schedule. There is a nice hike of about two miles along the Firehole River to get to the geyser. It was pretty quiet at the geyser – the hike...More

Definitely check the book as to what time eruptions are scheduled. Go a little early and just relax and let nature happen in all it's beauty. Be patient! Stay until the end or you will miss the grand finale. Kids will love it! Everyone will...More

I've hiked this twice - once with a friend and our combined five kids and again with my husband and our three kids. I selected July 2016 because it wouldn't let me go back in time. It wasn't 2016 but it was July. Bring Mosquito...More

The ski trail is 2.5 miles back to the geyser. The trail is beautiful and follows a creek, where you may be lucky to see an otter, as we did. The geyser went off twice while we were there. It was a beautiful sight, with...More

You need to be there to appreciate nature. No words or pictures to express it. I have fond memories of the Geyser.

We were lucky to time our arrival such that we only had 20 minutes or so to wait until this geyser blew. Be sure and check the bulletin board at the trail head to see when the last time was. Add three hours to get...More
