Take your time and enjoy the scenery as it changes every 5 seconds. The wind always stirs the smoke. Stay on the boardwalk, do not try to walk on the ground (you are not Rambo or any other superstar guys from a movie) 'cause you'll be badly burned!

Biscuit Basin is a smaller area with a small carpark. From here you can walk to the Upper Geyser Basin, The area itself has some lovely pools that have great color. Sapphire Pool Mustard Spring and Avoca Spring are among these, The Jewel Geyser is a very active geyser, so wait awhile and it will probably erupt. The Shell Geyser... More

Definitely agree with people who say the pools here are very pretty, the boardwalk was a good walk, saw deer, bald eagle and mountain bluebirds here. I also added the trail to Cascade Falls that was on the back side. It was a nice fairly easy hike. There was no parking first time around the lot but I circled back... More

We enjoyed this walk. More of the beautiful pools in Yellowstone. Stay on the boardwalk , as the ground is unstable and the pools are inviting but dangerously hot. The colors are from microbes based on the water temperature.

While talking to a ranger about directions to the Grand Prismatic , her tip was the biscuit basin with 3 pools each smaller but equally as impressive . Don't miss it. And avoid the crowds!

One of the many basins in the park. But here we have sapphire pool with dazzling blue color, which makes it worth the stop. Just enjoy strolling down the boardwalk with scenic views.

Biscuit Basin had some pretty hot springs and was a fairly short hike and therefore quite worth the visit.

We thought this was one of the most beautiful places in the park. Especially the Sapphire pool. It is really worth to go, it a bit smaller than the big geyser areas in the park, so it can be done in around 45 min.

Don't hurry by this one. Some of the prettiest blue colors can be found at this location. Take the time to walk the boardwalk loop and check out the different pools and springs. We walked over from Old Faithful (about 2.5 miles one way) and enjoyed the entire wildlife viewing along with the various geysers and springs along the way.
