While talking to a ranger about directions to the Grand Prismatic , her tip was the biscuit basin with 3 pools each smaller but equally as impressive . Don't miss it. And avoid the crowds!

One of the many basins in the park. But here we have sapphire pool with dazzling blue color, which makes it worth the stop. Just enjoy strolling down the boardwalk with scenic views.

Biscuit Basin had some pretty hot springs and was a fairly short hike and therefore quite worth the visit.

We thought this was one of the most beautiful places in the park. Especially the Sapphire pool. It is really worth to go, it a bit smaller than the big geyser areas in the park, so it can be done in around 45 min.

Another beautiful are of the Park. The colors of the surrounding land only enhanced the shades in the water. Should not be missed! (From a visit in September, only 5 years ago, due to an incomplete entry, my error, only!)

Much easier to enjoy in terms of crowds. More dramatic color. Much more enjoyable. To me, this was the highlight of Yellowstone. Otherwise i found the park ( even in September) to have a fair number of hassles. Whether it be insufficient parking, large crowds...More

My husband and I kept thinking we would bypass some of the thermal stops along the way while touring Yellowstone, but we found ourselves stopping because we've wanted to go there for a long time and it would stink (pun intended) to not see it...More
