Be sure to hike down to the platform at the top of the falls. It is AWESOME. It’s a decent way down and back up, but not all that strenuous and so amazing to stand where all that raw power is cascading over every second.

I was amazed by the size and beauty of this place. Hike down to the brink of the upper falls after you take a look around the top. Evening or mornings before 10 AM are the best, less crowded times to go.

On the list of the Top 10 things to see in Yellowstone NP...the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is indeed wonderfully beautiful and majestic !!! There are two drives/trails to do: one is the North Rim Drive, and the other is the South Rim Drive....More

Take note this is should see. I was with a tour and just loved it. A great tour manager makes a big difference. There are many areas to see around the falls that the tour shows you. The bathrooms sre terrible at the Falls.

This is certainly one of the most beautiful places in the whole Yellowstone Park, a place that is already full of breathtaking and unbelievable scenery. It's a tough hike, but definitely do Uncle Tom's Trail to the Lower Falls - it's simply amazing. In any...More

It is not the real Grand Canyon, however, it is great in its own way, impressive and unique, like each and any other wonder of the park.

I can't even begin to describe how wonderful the views are! The paths are well maintained and there are the occasional restroom facilities. We visited in October so it wasn't very busy. We packed a lunch and enjoyed it at a lovely little viewing station....More

The cayon is very pretty with different colors. We went on both rainy and sunny days, both were good. On the rainy day, the temperature dropped so much that we had to buy jackets from the shop near by.

Beautiful to see. If you are relatively fit, take the walk down to the waterfalls. It is spectacular. Walking back could be taxing, but it is worth it.

I believe there's only 2 places open in the park in the winter: Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Old Faithful Snow Lodge.

We did it in one day. The road around Mammoth Springs was closed then and we did wee everything else. Leave Jackson early and take a good full day with occasional stops. The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is not to be missed... More

You do not! We toured the area by ourselves, by car and you have great detailed maps given by the park. It is very beautiful and so much to see!
