The hike is relatively short but has some elevation to it so you'll be huffing and puffing a bit. The pond is worth it for the isolation and the wonderful reflections of the mountains in its still surface. Great spot for landscape photography. Was a...More

Relatively it's a very short hike down to the lake where you can see trout swimming and the otters feasting on their catch. Spectacular scenery and calm, quiet, peaceful, placid area to escape the hoards of tourists on the roads and in the park.

Went here on a Tuesday and very simply wouldn't recommend to others. The trail is a steep hike up to the lake. Any moisture on the ground makes the hike that much more slippery and dangerous. Once we got to the top, we were rewarded...More

Describing this hike as easy is a bit misleading, especially since boardwalk hike are labeled as easy. It is true that the hike around Trout Lake is easy, but the climb to get to the lake should be easy to moderate ….. meaning it would...More

It's a short but very steep hike from the trailhead to the lake, but once you're there its a very easy stroll around the lake. It's best on a sunny calm day as the reflections of the trees and clouds are spectacular. The water was...More
