This is by far one of the greatest views you can get in Yosemite! Glacier Point over looks the entire valley, and the cherry on the top is undoubtedly the amazing view of Half Dome. The top gives view to many other mountains, waterfalls and the valley floor below. To get to Glacier Point you can hike up the "4 Mile Trail", which is a moderately challenging hike which takes about 2-3 hours. The path is well maintained and easy to follow, and offers stunning views on the way up. This is absolutely a must see if visiting Yosemite!

Truly incredible views. Starting at the bottom nice and early you get increasingly good views of the north side of the valley, particularly Yosemite Falls. Worth the short walk to the little lookout halfway up. The upper part continues a pretty steep hike on pretty well kept trail. The bit that got me (vertigo) was a narrow snow covered ledge you need to cross to reach the beautiful woods just below the peak - scary. The rangers had come up and partly cleared it later in the day but still found it difficult.
Tip: I was really lucky with timing (early May) on a Monday. Very few people as the road up was still blocked by snow and COVID kept a lot of Lon distance travelers away. Crowds therefore very light, maybe 30 people total at the summit with me - there can be a lot more.

Perfect place to sit and stay a while, and watch the sun set over Yosemite Valley! Tons of parking and public restrooms available here too.

Absolutely breathtaking views. We drove from Curry Village so it takes a little bit to get up here. Once up there, not a long walk to the scenic point. So beautiful and unreal! We also brought some food to picnic up there (it attracted quite a few bees though so *bee* careful)

In my opinion, one of the most majestic places on earth. Bring your camera. Limited hiking at the point unless you are prepared to do some heavy descents & subsequent ascents. If you have a really good friend, ask them to drive you to the point and meet them back in the valley. Ha, Ha!

A must do when in Yosemite to take in the stunning beauty. The road does close so attention needs to be paid to that timing. We were fortunate to see Glacier Point a day before it closed - just spectacular and beautiful! There is elevation gain and turns on the road to the top. There is a paved trail to the view point. Lots of parking was available.

If you are looking for stunning views that do not require a hike, Glacier Point is for you. It's a bit of a drive to this part of the park (and lots of elevation gain), but it's worth it for the view. This is perfect for folks that aren't super mobile or don't like to hike; they can get the great views without the effort.

My personal feeling is that the views are vastly better from the top of Sentinel Dome and also from the top of Nevada Falls, but those require some hiking and climbing stairs, so if you're not up for those, this is your place! Heck, even if you've done this and would like a slightly different perspective or some easy access to the views, stopping at Glacier Point is well worth it! We did those other hikes and then did this. We still greatly enjoyed it!

Best view of the whole Yosemite Valley, at least among places that don't require a considerable hike. You can get a very good sense of the geography and the landmarks of Yosemite. Nevada, Vernal and Yosemite falls are readily visible from here as well.

This is a great look over Yosemite NP from the top. We spent day one exploring the top before we went to valley. The only issue was we had a lot of haze from California fires, but it was kind of clear by afternoon. We had dogs so we were able to bring them on the hike around Glacier Point. We went on weekday. So it was not super busy.
