A fantastic hike, albeit strenuous at times, with great views along the way. Definitely research and compare to your abilities before attempting the entire hike.

Thank you Civilian Conservation Corps. Who in the h$$$ are we to rate a natural wonder. This place is magnificent. The hike says strenuous. A middle aged, just quit smoker, can make it. Take you time, it is a ton of stairs. If you are...More

This was our first hike to warm up for the falls hike the next day. You have to go and see for yourself, providing you are adventurous and not afraid of climbing and heights.

Nevada Falls is as powerful as any other water falls in the Yosemite Valley. However, it take some effort to get up close through either Mist trail or John Muir Trail. Well worth the effort especially during spring

My husband and I (in our mid-50s) hike frequently. We have walked in many countries and many states. For a relatively short walk close to civilization, this trail has to be one of the best anywhere -- certainly it offers the most spectacular views per...More

Hiking up past Vernal on the Misty Trail continuing on up to Nevada Falls and then down Muir Trail is just a spectacular day hike - the best! There is 2000 feet of vertical gain going up to Nevada Falls, and the loop will be...More

Depending on how far you want to go this trail could be a simple stroll or a crazy hard hike, We went mid term and hiked to the first bridge where you could see the falls. It was about 500 or so feet of elevation...More

Amazing walk alongside 2 waterfalls and stunning views. It is quite busy and of course uphill but take your time and enjoy. Even saw a bear sitting in a tree!

I hiked up to Vernal Fall and then Nevada Falls using the Mist Trail going up and the John Muir trail coming back. This makes for a 7 mile loop trail. I recommend doing it this way and not the other way around. You can,...More

You'll be hoofing it! Take it easy and bring some water. Make sure you have good hiking shoes that fit, especially for downhill.
