We were there yesterday. After the heavy rains of this season, the waterfalls are spectacular and springing up on rock faces every few hours. Everywhere we look, water, falling water, rain, fog, mist. The path to the falls is well-maintained and in great shape. Didn't take long to reach from the car, maybe 20 minutes of easy hiking. It was... More

With a heavy snowpack and daytime temps reaching 70, the valley was filling up with snow melt - causing the falls to be very full, loud and impressive. Morning may provide the best sunlight for photos, but as the day warms - the falls get bigger in the afternoon. What a beautiful view from the valley floor - to capture... More

Spent 3-4 hours trekking to and from this unforgettable place. It is hard work but well worth seeing the Yosemite falls up close. The power and force of the waterfall when seen up close is truly humbling. Worth taking food to picnic and break up the rewarding trek.

There are actual 3 parts to Yosemite Falls. Upper, Cataracts, and lower falls. Every view is even more spectacular. Walk around it and up it to see it from different views.

You can relatively easily get to the base of the lower falls, but you can't see the entire falls from there. In the winter, if there is snow, it can be slippery getting to the base of the lower falls. Even though there was a lot of snow in the meadow, the paths across the meadow were plowed. The meadow... Yosemite falls has three falls in one. Upper, middle and lower. You have to hike in a little on the trail to see the full falls, but it is worth it.

We visited in May, waterfalls were thundering, early foliage and flowers blooming. Cool weather but totally tolerable. Would go back again in a heartbeat!

Winter at the falls is magical and what a winter we have had. Walking in foot deep Virgin snow up to the falls, blizzarding when not under the canary of the trees and no one else in sight makes for a magical visit to the falls. Walking early in the morning up to the falls was magical, pulling on low... More

We visited in February. The waterfall was an amazing sight and the roar of the water impressive. Great views

We booked a private coach to go to Yosemite as it was a 5 hour trip from San Francisco. An early start got us there by 10am so we could begin exploring; the shuttle service is excellent for getting around for visitors on foot. Our driver Alex Montano was informative throughout and scheduled the stops very well. Unfortunately, it took... More
