There's a sales area I ignored. Adjoining Indian Village has structures unique to the original Yosemite Valley inhabitants. An Indian Motorcycle has an interesting history. Native animators talk about the use of stone, basket weaving and bead work. Beading was demonstrated. Stop and talk.

We love museums and happened onto the Museum by accident. I was pretty excited and curious about what they had in store. Well, not much. I hate to say it, but I was disappointed. First, the Museum was a bit disjointed and didn't have a...More

I was disappointed with the display. Mainly, woven pots, spear heads and photos of the native people. I was hoping to see more daily life-style of the natives.

This is an interesting museum about the Native American presence in Yosemite. It's right next to the visitor center & worth a look. There's beautiful, huge woven baskets woven by Native American women. Very interesting. There's also a docent to answer questions. There's also an...More

This is a small museum that is close to the visitor center. It has some excellent examples of indian baskets and clothing, but best of all was the docent who explained some of the native indian items and the historical significance.
