The Nature Center was closed when we were there in December but we really enjoyed walking the nearby short trail across the bridge. That morning the weather was perfect, sun started to shine glimmering the river which in some parts were frozen. It was so quiet and peaceful, no sound except for the flowing water and birds chipping. Nice photo... More

We took the shuttle out to Happy Isles on the advice of a Park Ranger we chatted to and it was well worth it. The nature centre is small but interesting and engaging for kids-my boys (8&6) enjoyed the displays especially the film showing what bears could get up to! It was pretty quiet too which is unusual for Yosemite... More

Enjoyed learning new things in this nature center with some interactive displays. Is just a short walk from the shuttle bus.

At that point we got great looks at the bird diving into the rapids feeding underwater. real cool. the trail up to vernal fails is the most popular so there is no feeling of enjoyment on... More

Very small museum but has great selection of books, postcards, etc. Walking around Happy Isles is very peaceful. Doesn't take too long.

If you have already done everything in Yosemite, then you should go here. It's cute for young children and accessible for the infirm. You can see stuffed varieties of the living things you saw walking to the nature center. Have a blast ;).

The visit to the nature centre at the happy isles was helpful to understand the facts about Yosemite National Park. It is a must-do for overnight stayers.

Our little ones (3 and younger) really enjoyed the museum at happy isles. There was also easy walking paths just outside and a creek we could sit and splash at, since it was a super hot day!

We met a ranger here and did a short nature tour with a delightful young ranger who had the children enthralled. Really good fun.
