This place has the trees you're looking for, and it's very close to Yosemite. Yes, there are bigger trees in other groves, but as a human being you can't tell anyway. They are huge, and impressive!

Yosemite is amazing but this little hike was a bit boring . The trees not as tall as mariposa but mariposa was closed when we went to visit. Still cool!

It's a bit of a detour from the valley, but well worth the trip. The car park at the grove is usually very busy, but there's a regular free bus service from the secondary car park at the Wawona Hotel, a couple of miles away....More
