Mariposa Groves was a great half day hike to view spectacular trees. The shuttle/tram is a bit pricey, and the long hike is tough for young children, elderly, and injured. Still worth the few hours to see these giants.

The giant sequoia's are something else , you really have to see it to believe it. It is a very short hike to see grizzly giant and although the hike itself is not as beautiful as the rest of Yosemite , you really have to...More

This is one of our favorite areas in Yosemite. We took the tram tour to see the giant trees. This is a must when visiting the park. The trees are beautiful and so old and unique.

This was a part of the Yosemite Grand Tour. We were fortunet to have an excellent tour guide. He (Herb) was very knowlegeable and very easy to understand. We have spent numerous days in the coast redwoods, but the shear size of these giant trees...More

Highly recommend that you visit these beautiful trees. We enjoyed a morning walk through the trees and saw lots of birds and squirrels.

Hard to believe some of these giants are 2000 to 3000 years old. Very easy to park within easy walking distance of trees. Absolutely beautiful spot

Mariposa is fabulous. the bus from Wanona is the best way to get there as the parking lot often gets full and compels you to take a bus anyway. The hike has some uphill but the trees are amazing

It's really hard to wrap your mind around the age and size of these beauties! And to be able to stand so close makes you realise just how massive they are. No where else in the world can you feel Nature's agelessness. Don't miss this!

Well worth the time if you are entering/exiting Yosemite through this entrance. The easy but uphill walk to the lower grove is marked with information signs, also use the pamphlet for more information. You will see a couple of the larger sequoia trees, but they...More

It is an amazing forest of large trees, where you can get very close to these giants. Even pass in the middle of a sequoia. For those who have never been close to Sequois like us to was unbelievable. A must see!!
