It is amazing appreciate the water landscape of Pulpito del Diablo route, you can see frailejon forest, beautiful waterfalls and lakes where you can taste the best water from its natural fountain. You can practice hiking and mountain climbing, if you are nature and mountain lover, this place is a must. For access the snow border or summit, it is necessary to pay an accidents insurance per day and the National Park entrance fee, around USD15

Did this trek in April 2018 and unfortunately we arrived during a period of rain. We got drenched during our acclimatization walk to a lake. But since you only have the time you have we decided to go ahead with El Pulpito anyway.
The morning started fine and we left the cabana at 5am. At the top of the trail head we got a distant view of El Pulpito, good job i snapped a picture then a that was the best we got to see.
The weather remained dry as we walked along the valley, but cloud was already covering the top. By the time we reached the uphill scramble the weather had set in.
We made it to the top, but unfortunately had no views whatsoever.
The walk back to the Cabana was wet all the way, all in all the trek took 10 hours, it would have been great to see El Pulpito up close, other people's photos on here are great. Unfortunately all I got to take away from it wax the accomplishment of reaching the altitude,my previous highest being 4200m.
Although you are at altitude, this isn't a difficult trek until the final scramble and this is only difficult due to the lack of oxygen, it is a long day.

I stayed at Cabanas El Pulpito and the trailhead to El Pulpito del Diablo is an easy 30 minutes walk away.
Hiking to El Puplito del Diablo took me and my guide about 11 hrs (from cabana and back) but I am a very slow hiker and I stopped a lot to take pictures. Well worth the effort and you will be rewarded with amazing scenery.

We travelled by motorcycle to Cocuy and stopped at Pulpito del Diablo, pulpit of the devil. Just amazing, scenery, clouds oh and it was cold, very cold. Dress warm if you are planning on visiting.

Para subir al púlpito, es posible quedarse en Guican? O es mejor en el Cocuy
