We picked the red tube route as we'd heard that there was more time tubing and it was more chilled out than the yellow route to the north of town. We paid our 55,000kip, (no deposit required for red tubes), signed our lives away and...More

We went for the whole, tubing and getting drunk experience. Went for the yellow tubes, stopped at the two bars and enjoyed the hour long float back to town. It's a shame that they couldn't improve the tubing scene without changing it so dramatically because...More

Had such a laugh doing the tubing - hired for 7 hours for 55,000kip plus 60,000kip deposit. Return rings for 8pm. Tuktuk takes you to the start. Just a shame only 2 bars were open and it was raining! Be aware - the end is...More

My wife and I went river tubing during our visit to Vang Vieng as we'd heard it was good from a friend. We asked our guesthouse where we could book it and he advised us to go straight to the tubing office in the town...More

Was extremely disappointed to find that the tubing office we booked with was a complete scam as we only tubed for a total of 25 minutes with 2 bars on the way. Tubing had been something we had looked forward to doing in Laos and...More

Even though this activity has changed over the years (now only two bars are open) it was still a great time!!! I'm a solo traveler but I went with a big group of people from the hostel and it was awesome. Tip. Bring some cheap...More

Everyone is requested to wear a life vest but we ended up having to save someone who got caught up in a tree and couldn't free themselves. I almost lost my tube and bag as a result. There was slight currents in June when I... More
