I wasn't expecting much when I asked my taxi driver to swing by Khao Chi Chan. The largest Buddha carving in the world. Yes, it's large at 109 meters high by 70 meters wide, but so what? Arriving, I found myself pleasantly surprised by the tranquility of the carving. It is both enormous and intimate, and the Buddha's smile is... More

Tldr: worth seeing when you're in Thailand, great place for pictures and to just breathe I gave this place a 4/5 but that's mostly because I've never seen anything remotely similar in all of Asia (and I've been through a lot) I could be wrong on this but people told me that the gold outline of Buddha on the mountain... This is a wonderful piece of art set in gold on the side of a mountain. There is something calm and inspiring about the setting. It is a must visit place to have your photograph taken.
