La Maddalena Archipelago National Park is a geomarine protected area...

La Maddalena Archipelago National Park is a geomarine protected area consisting of a group of islands situated in the north-east of the coast of Gallura, in the stretch of sea between Sardinia and Corsica known as Bocche di Bonifacio. These islands – except for La Maddalena Island housing the homonymous town and characterized by a significant human presence – are entirely deserted or scattered with small human settlements, like in Caprera and Santa Maria Islands.

We went last year first week of September which i think it was great time...not too crowded and it was warm but not hot. Took a tour for about 8 hours around the islands, the water was amazing and the landscaping was beautiful, if you go to Sardinia I highly recommend doing this tour.

Been here 3 times now, it never fails to disappoint. Beautiful beaches, quaint little town with a few shops and restaurants, and not too busy. Don't come if you want lots of nightlife. Do come if you want to get away from it all in 4 hours door to door from Luton!

Many secluded paths on Caprera with good walking map available on the main island. Beaches also dreamy and perfect for a picnic or a paddle. Easy to get to by Ferry - but buy a ticket before you try to drive on board, the office is nearby.

We drove to Palau then took the ferry to La Maddalena. It's easy to buy a ticket and hop on. Lovely small island.

Super boat trip around this beautiful group of islands. Never seen such crystal clear water in the Med - fantastic swimming and snorkeling. We travelled on an old sailing boat, helped put up the sails and sailed all the way back to port late afternoon after a great lunch on board.

with many very different bays. So you can always find a protected place. The water is amazingly for taking pictures and swiming.

The skies are sapphire, the sea is emerald, the road is meandering right next to it, the beaches are small and each of a different colour, the scent of pinecones is intoxicating, the seafood is great , the yachts are all full and world belongs to you.

Just a drop off about one hour with ferry and then a short drive thru island, in order to prepare a proper visit on season. Nice places, silent, warming. Have to be interesting archipelago tour and longer stay on island

We drove through the area in our car. It was gorgeous! We kept having to stop to take photos. Would recommend going on a trip around the island to see the scenery! We loved it!
