You arrive and you have to pay 10 dollars for entry and for sunbed and for wifi (does not work), the beach is hail, there is a beach bar with reggae music. You can also do nice walks. The sea water is shallow and is suitable for children.

Cruise stop was moved from Ocho Rios to Falmouth so wasn’t sure what to do. Saw red stripe beach and 867 beach club so I contacted Everton Rodney os RasStar tours and he was great. Picked up at cruise terminal on time and we were first on the beach. Everton was also on time picking us up, I would highly recommend him and the beach club, best day of the cruise so far

Very pretty beach. Could walk out a long way into the water.
Everton Rodney of Rasstar Tours recommended this beach & going to 876 Beach Club as they have facilities, chairs, a bar & free wi-fi. The cost was $10 to enter the resort, though. We didn't stay very long, but it was a nice experience & I would recommend this beach.

We read a lot of reviews when deciding which excursion to take in Falmouth. We are so glad we didn't spend $85-160 to go on one of the All Inclusive Beach Breaks. Through Royal Caribbean, it was only $29 to have them shuttle you back and forth to Red Stripe Beach. Although this didn't include food/drinks or even a beach chair, I feel like we got much better value. It was a quick ride, less than 10 minutes from the pier. I'm glad I read the reviews because the entrance is less than appealing. It really does look like a prison entrance. But once they drive you back to the beach, you'll be glad you went! The beach is secluded which means no public haggling you to buy stuff. It's a small beach but it still wasn't crowded. The staff was wonderful, super helpful and friendly. You can tell they take pride in you having a great experience. From the super clean bathrooms, to the beach constantly being raked for seaweed (although there really wasn't that much). They rushed to get you a beach chair as soon as the bus arrives, only $5/chair. If you want to eat and drink, there are food and drinks for purchase. Drinks are all $5 each. Food plates were $10-15. I posted a picture of the menu for you to check out. The chicken was great, would definitely recommend trying it, hot off the grill. We kept track and even with my husband drinking constantly from the time we got there, the entire excursion, including our tickets, drinks, food and beach chairs was less than $50pp. And for a place that isn't over crowded, I'd say that's a win! Even though the excursion says 3 hours, you are allowed to stay as long as you'd like (up until 4:30 when they close). Shuttles come every 15-20 minutes so you can leave whenever you'd like. We will definitely come back here again!

Beach is closed. Possibly for good.
A new hotel is being built.

Cloud be returning at some point but not likely.
Location was great being just up the street from the port.

Have to move to a new location.

We were on Harmony of the Seas - April 14 2018. Red Stripe is closed. They are building a resort. Go to Blue Waters. It's exactly like Red Stripe. Beautiful beach, friendly staff, clean too.

Yes, you can join the throngs of cruise ship passengers who flock to the nearest hotel beach and enjoy the same sun, sand and ocean. But if you want to escape to a much smaller, private Jamaican beach, Red Stripe is your best value. For $29.00 per person, you take a 10 minute shuttle ride to a gated, secured private beach. The air conditioned shuttles run every hour, and are staffed by professional drivers. The beach is clean and there are plenty of shade trees. For an additional $10.00, you can have a chaise lounge chair brought to where you want to sit. There is a bar and grill, fresh water showers, clean rest rooms, change rooms, a massage therapist on site, and a DJ playing mostly reggae music all day. There are tables to sit and eat, a beach volleyball area, and best of all, the fabulous sea. The water is as clear as a swimming pool, and you will see star fish, sea anemone, and lots of tropical fish if you snorkel. If you want to sit back, relax and just have a beer, you can buy a bucket of 5 Red Stripe beers on ice for $22.00 US. There are also some T-shirts and towels for sale. The grill has a good menu with lots of local flavor. I highly recommend Red Stripe Beach. Ask for Christopher! He is the greatest.

Here are a few things that I thought were great.
1) only 7 min bus ride!
2) staff at beach took care of us immediately-chairs & drinks
3) staff spent time cleaning beach to pickup seaweed. No trash at all. Was very clean. Bathrooms and changing rooms were clean.
4) security was on guard on both ends of beach to prevent solicitation.
5). for $5 you got WIFI! Huge for teenagers wanting to post their every second.
6) Food was really good.
7) Was around $29pp on the ship. Super reasonable.
8) plenty of places to set chairs in shade or sun.

Tips to remember. Take cash. Drinks are $5 each and food was $10 per plate. Tips are needed for everything but a couple dollars as needed goes a long way.

No snorkeling. This is beautiful beach, drinks and food. That's it.

Zero stress kinda day.

We came here off of a Royal Caribbean cruise in May 2016. We paid something like $20-30/per person for round-trip shuttle service from the beach to the pier. The excursion was initially listed as a 3-hour excursion, but we found out we could stay all day! The shuttle went back and forth throughout the day, and came back every 20 minutes or so. The shuttle (bus) driver was great, and taught us a bit about Falmouth. The beach is gated, and behind a private entrance. There is also security on this section of secluded beach.

The beach itself was amazing - very clear waters. Views of mountains to our right. Truly what you expect when you picture Jamaica. Five dollars per beach chair (which was not required) was certainly worth it. Inexpensive but delicious drinks and food (approximately $5 for pina coladas, $10 for boyfriend's jerk chicken). Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. There was also a changing area/bathroom.

If we returned to Falmouth, we would certainly go back! I would highly recommend this beach - a little piece of paradise.

The good news:
- Affordable but if traveling wit ha group it's cheaper to pay a taxi. Unsure of entrance fee because booked through cruise ship shore excursion.
- Short maybe 10 to 20 minute drive from Port of Falmouth Jamaica.
- Can leave anytime.
- During summer the water was warm and a beautiful color like a photo.
- Sand was almost white and very soft on the feet.
- Massage was better at Red Stripe Beach than on the ship and half the cost - maybe $60 usd.
-Music was joyful and fun. DJ did a great job. One family seemed to have a dance team member in the group who was able to move one family to at least line dance and electric slide. This cruise was family friendly and so was the beach.
- Food and drink was purchased as needed.
- Lounge chairs rented at $5 U.S. each
- Shade available for the sun sensitive.
- The beach was small but goes on a long way beyond the life guard area.
A protected area leads to the water so wear sturdy walking beach shoes if planning to walk.
- Only one person selling to tourist outside the official beach area and he was entertaining about his marketing.
- Beach clothing and keepsakes sold at a gift shop.
- Outdoor showers, clean bathroom and separate hanging rooms meant that a person could shower and change into something nice to go visit other parts of the area or go shopping at the port. There was no where to go shopping near the beach because the beach was surrounded by a protected forest (good job Jamaica and thank you for protecting your real treasure which is your ecology which tourists pay to see).
Beach was clean.
- Lifeguard interacted with tourists and several security kept a watchful eye.
- Shuttle vans varied. Some were newer than others.
- Laying out in the sun is not my idea of fun but those who did seemed to enjoy it.
- Fresh coconut water was $4 USD. Add a few more dollars for alcohol.

Did not like:
- Entering the road to Red Stripe Beach looks like a road to a prison.
- The jungle looked unfriendly and lies next to the beach. An Eco tour needs to be added.
- The food was not Jamaican. Seriously - reaction was stunned and disappointed. It's like they know you are trapped there so they can feed you anything and it's expensive for what you get.I deeply regret that people think that they were eating real jerk chicken with hard fries. But some people like whatever they don't have to cook.
- The oceans are changing. Algae is thicker. The ocean is used as a garbage dump. The beach was clean but one foot over the boundary - the trash is visible and disturbing. So much plastic.
- Thankful that the driver explained the barren wasteland as we entered the dirt road leading to the beach.

Recommendations:
- take very good goggles. The water burns the eyes.
- Be prepared for lots of seaweed.it floats in patches so set up your swim area away from the patches of seaweed. There is nothing they can do about seaweed in the ocean.
- Wear shoes if walking away from the protected area.
- Leave early and find a place that has real jerk chicken and Jamaican food - unless you like tough chicken and fries. Maybe some days they have better cooks.
- Take sun screen and sunglasses. Reapply sunscreen often. The sun on that water reflects and burns the sun and you won't know until much later.
- Leave early to enjoy the port if you want.

Red stripe was a good excursion and I highly recommend it to others. If I don't tell you the negative, you won't believe my report. I liked best that the beach was not crowded. People came and left all day. There was no hard selling. Port of Falmouth was nice too. No pushiness. Taxi were very easy to get and organized - but I went with a ship excursion. I highly recommend Red Stripe Beach as an affordable taste of Jamaica. I suspect the beach is more quiet on days without cruise ships. Suggest reading the other reviews for more details.
