- Jadean Nimoh23 contributionsGreat beachThe beach itself was lovely despite the weather being a little cooler than expected, it was really nice to have the subbed practically in the sea. The WiFi was much stronger than at other beaches I’ve been to in Jamaica, the only thing was it was little pricier to get in and drinks/food did take a little while. We walked up the beach, to get some nice photos at some cool spots. Overall very good experience.Visited December 2023Travelled with friendsWritten December 17, 2023

- Carole GBrampton, Canada2 contributionsWonderful Day at Blue Waters Beach Club, Falmouth, JamaicaWe had an amazing day at Blue Waters Beach Club. We arrived at the Falmouth cruise port and took a taxi in a group of six people. The cost was $20 per person round trip. It is located 10 minutes from the port. Admission to the club is $10 per person which includes a chair and free super-fast wifi. The beach and the water are gorgeous, the people are friendly and the food and drinks are good and fairly priced. The whole place including the restrooms, is immaculate. I highly recommend spending the day at Blue Waters Beach Club if you have a port day in Falmouth.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten February 17, 2024

- LindaSouth Haven, Michigan7 contributionsBeautiful well kept beach!I went here as an excursion off a Royal Caribbean ship. $34. As I understand it that's inline with taxi prices. It also included admission for me. I chose transportation only, not a prepaid lunch. The beach is small and with two ships in port, you are right next to someone else's chaise lounge. The staff work very hard to keep umbrellas over many of the chairs, serve drinks and generally make sure we were happy. The water is beautiful and very shallow so although there are tons of people, there's plenty of space in the water. Beach is life guarded. Employees do not let you walk past the club boundaries of the water line - and they firmly make you turn back. Lots of hard pack sand and shallow water for little's sand castles. I didn't eat there. Looked like burgers and perhaps jerk chicken. Bring and USE high quality sunscreen. Saw lots of lobster skin and no one wants skin cancer down the road. And stay hydrated - the Caribbean sun can exhaust you! It's a beautiful place - enjoy!Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten March 28, 2024

And attended to like we were celebrities. It was a windy day. And the associate was keen on ensuring the food was well wrapped and presented with pride. The order was done quickly. We went to the beach as part of an all inclusive RC shore excursion, so we thought it would be a relaxing fun day! Wrong. My largest complaint was the overcrowded circumstances. We were lucky enough to snag a last few chairs, but the people who came later had to sit on the sand. It was literally wall-to-wall people. We asked a worker if it was always that crowded, and he said no. He told us that he had accidentally overbooked over 700 people when they usually had less than half that. There were only grassy spots left to stand in the water, as people crammed into the non-grassy spots in the water. This isn’t just seaweed, but grass growing in large areas that easily reach past your shins. Of course there was a long line for lunch and nowhere to sit. Bathroom toilets clogged up of course.I actually felt sorry for the people working there because they were so overwhelmed with the crowd. The people serving drinks were also way too busy to take care of everyone so you had to go to the bar and get you know if you wanted any. The food was OK, but we had nowhere to sit to eat it. I am not a picky person but I’m telling you this was a waste of money and I would never go back. I can’t believe that Royal Caribbean chose this as one of their shore excursions. When we got back to the ship, there was a long line of people complaining about this specific excursion. Some even yelling and demanding their money back. I suppose on a day that they are not crowded it might’ve been a different experience, but you still have to deal with the grass in the water. My advice is don’t do it. They may choose to overbook on your day too!

This beach was horrible. It costs $10 to enter and wasn’t worth going for free. It was dirty. The allotted area isn’t even half a mile long. The water they allow you to go in is only waist deep. The lady’s at the counter are very rude.

We booked this excursion with Royal Caribbean, so we could have 8 of us together. First of all, even though this was suppose to be a Royal Caribbean excursion, there were no Royal employees involved at all with this. We had our excursion tickets from Royal, and went and met at the meeting area, once off the ship. This was a holding area, which not much organization. We finally got on a large, nice bus, after waiting almost a half of an hour. The ride from the port to the beach was less than 10 minutes. When we got off the bus, they wanted to walk everyone through their little gift shop, to purchase a rental umbrella. We passed on that, and one of the workers took us to the empty plastic beach chairs, brushed the sand off, and received his tip. Unfortunately, we were placed literally right next to a temporary fence, where loud construction with heavy equipment was going on immediately on the other side of this fence. The beach was absolutely packed, and the "workers" were at times, lifting beach chairs over others laying out, to try to move and squeeze a few more chairs in. Not only were people from Royal Caribbean ships there, but also from Carnival ships in port.
We had signed up for the all-inclusive aspect of this, but only had 1 drink, and skipped the lunch. The beach was small, and not a very pretty beach. The area closest to our chairs, was very rocky. When the guy sat us down, he told us that if we wanted an adventure, we should go in the water there. We opted to walk down a ways to the "main part" of the beach, where it was not rocky. As soon as the buses started coming back, about 2 hours in, we headed back to the pickup area. Joy, the designated worker was there and just told people to wait in the general area where the buses picked up. When the bus pulled up, there was no sort of line at all. One man decided to go to the front of the line, and proceed to block people from getting on the bus and called for his family and friends to come up to the front of the lIne. Another lady told him that she had been waiting and didn't want to let his group on in front of her. Screaming and cussing began. Eventually, that man and his family/friends got on and so did this lady. The verbal fighting continued on the bus. There was not enough room for everyone, so a few others not involved, got off of the bus and had to wait for another to come. Supposedly, they were running about every 30 minutes. This so easily could have been avoided if the company had people actually wait in an organized line.
We could not get back on the ship any faster than we did. If you want a beach that is very noisy with large construction equipment, over croweded, and not very pretty, then this beach is for you. Otherwise, I would stay as clear away from this excursion and beach as possible. And if you look at my profile, you will see that this is a very uncharacteristic review for me to leave.

We were on a princess cruise and one of the ports was Falmouth Jamaica. Instead of participating in one of the advertised excursions through the cruise company, we decided to take our chances and see what the locals had to offer for excursions. We decided to hop on a bus to the Blue Waters beach club for $20 apiece round-trip. There was a $10 admission fee to get into the club which included a chair. There were a couple of little shops at the beach club, and plenty of cold drinks and jerk chicken. The beach is a small stretch of powdered sugar sand and blue water, absolutely beautiful. But the fun part is the entertainment. The manager of the club, Smurf, defined by his blue wig, is absolutely hilarious. He engaged the audience in games of music trivia and will play whatever song you would like upon request. I would say if you are ever in Falmouth Jamaica, and find yourself with a couple of hours that you would like to enjoy, head on over to blue waters, and have some fun! Also, if you are staying in the Montego bay area, this would be a fun activity.

Incredible massage on the beach
$100 / hr
$60 1/2 hr
More expensive than you would expect but lower than US prices and SERENA gives the best massage I’ve had in years ! glad I skipped the massage on the ship . Drink prices are good
Shade is limited
Cabanas $80 / Umbrella $20
We booked through Royal Caribbean which included bus transfer which was easy . Having to pay for an umbrella was annoying but you’ll see living conditions on the way and remember how important these little “extras” are for the locals to live . Bring cash for tips (they are expected by everyone )
Bring plenty of suntan lotion
Bring towels
Overall, would recommend

We booked this through Royal Caribbean and visited on 10/6/2022. From the first step inside, everyone working there had their hand out for money. I completely understand that this area is dependent on tourist money to survive. I don't have a problem supporting anyone if I choose to. We got off our bus and were taken inside the main area where the gift shop and "kitchen" is. They basically held us there to tell us to go in the gift shop, buy drinks and food, rent a cabana, tent, etc. No problem if that is what we wanted to do. All we wanted was to go to the beach, spend a couple of hours and then go back to the ship. The beach is mediocre. They want you to pay for a cabana, pay to have your "free" lounge chair wiped off. The swimming area is roped off although most everyone goes out beyond the rope because the area is very small. We found our own "free" chair and went out into the water. When we were done, we went into the restroom to change only to find out there were showers at the other end of the "resort" that we were never told about. Maybe we missed it, but we did not know when our bus was scheduled to go back to the ship so we asked to go back early. We were told to wait and go into the gift shop while we waited. After trying to find out how long we had to wait, they finally agreed to take us back early for a fee, which we were gladly to pay. The highlight was the wonderful driver who took us back. He was super nice and gave us some historical information about the Falmouth area. In fact, that was the best part of the whole excursion.

First of all, the water is not blue. It looks dirty. The feeling of stepping on mud is unpleasant. Too loud. People are packed.
Jamaicans are trying to squeeze as much cash out of you as possible. You pay admission and if you want an umbrella you pay $20. Go to the bottom there are trees. Parasol naturel. For a tourist country and a beach that says beautiful there is not much. Poor layout.
I'm disappointed.

Do NOT go to this place or book it as an excursion through your Cruise Line (Royal Caribbean). We booked this as an “excursion” and were in complete disbelief that such a well known Cruise Line would offer this as an excursion. Blue Waters Beach Club is a complete dump. There is nothing beautiful about this place. There is trash and old tires along the beach. One side is next door to a junk yard and rundown building with Barbed-wire dividing the two. It was evident that the liquor they are serving is being made or concocted with chemicals or other substances. After taking one sip we knew it was not safe to drink. It tasted like ethanol or some type of gasoline. We knew it was not going to be safe to eat there, and immediately packed up and requested a shuttle back to our ship.
The pictures shown on here and when doing a Google search are old and do not represent the current conditions of the “blue waters beach club.”

The place is pretty and lively. They charge you $10 to get in, and that gives you right to the chair. The sunshine is another $20. Cottages cost 80. Ask for a sleeve for everything! In fact, the experience in Jamaica was not fair in that sense. We felt like they were trying to exploit us in everything.

First of all it cost us $20 each for a five minutes gotta from the port. Then $10 each for a chair. He tried to upsell us to a shaded area for $80, we passed. Then he dusted off a few lounge chairs, which were clean to begin with and demanded a tip.
A woman came and offered us a bucket of beer for $20, we asked how many beers and she said 6. She came back with 4 warm beers and denied saying 6.
Beach was ok but not great, not very deep, pretty small.

How much was the taxi that runs between the beach and Cruise port?
Also, how much are massages?
How much for beach chair or cabana?

Jackie, Is Blue Waters an all-inclusive, or can we pay a fee to get in and buy ala carte? We do not drink alcohol so we do not want to pay an all-inclusive price. Also, do they have American food like hamburgers and hot dogs, or is it all Jamaican style food? We are plain eaters. Any info would be appreciated.
Written July 9, 2019
I'm pretty sure that you can do a non-inclusive option. If you read my review from March 2019 you see that we did the all-inclusive option but I mentioned those without the AI option. The food was good but for the life of me I cannot remember what it was - my picky 6 year old liked it, though, so there must have been enough plain American-style food! :-)

I see the Royal Caribbean excursion says it includes food and drinks but for drinks it says beer and frozen drinks. Does that include just regular mixed drinks as well?
Written March 14, 2019
I didn't have that package but what I saw there were a lot of frozen drinks, so I assumed that is the only thing provided with the package.

In your review about Blue Water Beach in Jamaica you mention that royal Caribbean transport is always available. If we don't book an excursion but just want to pay royal Caribbean transport to drive us to the beach and pick us up...is that an option?

you can't get on blue water beach without paying for an excursion ....now it doesn't have to be with with royal caribbean.... you can book any excursion with a company called Shore Excursioner ....however you can not use royal Caribbean transportation if you don't pay for their excursion

I would like to know what the cost is. Do you have a price list? I saw there was a food and beverage Package? Do you have pictures of the Cabana's and what do they come with? We are planning to visit in March 2019.
Thanks You

Is there any attraction there for children?
What sort of entertainment do you have?
Written June 28, 2018
The main attraction is the beach and water itself.
Entertainment was The host (Smurf) and staff with DJ and dancing. At lunch there was a really enjoyable singer singing caribbean music.
