The preserve is beautiful, tour educational and our guide was great. Reservations are required and there is only one English speaking tour a day so you must book a couple of weeks in advance. It is an easy tour for anyone with walking issues. Other than a short board walk tour into the mangroves it is all done on a... More

Our guide and naturalist Astrid, was incredibly knowledgeable on the various mangroves, wildlife and ecosystem. She mixed in local stories and used humor to make this a learning event and fun at the same time. She answered all of our inquires and questions with patient and great context. The facility is lovely and the tour was comfortable and accommodating for... More

Karina was our tour guide and she was amazing. We got lucky and had the tour all to ourselves. My traveling buddy is Spanish so we went for Spanish as it was earlier in the day (try to beat the heat a bit) and since it a VIP tour, Karina did it in English and Spanish!!! Absolutely amazing and not... More

I saw the reviews here and decided to give it a try. For $12, why not. The tour was great. Our English speaking guide was knowledgeable. We got to see many of the areas and the tram took us to different locations. At the lighthouse, you'll be able to see other islands in the Caribbean. I was at El Yunque... More

This preserve requires advance reservations that can be made on line. The tour is escorted and done by tram. The English version is only once a day in the afternoon. Highlights included views from the lighthouse and the museum in the lighthouse with bioluminescent organisms display and live hermit crabs. Also included were the lagoon, forest and beach cove.

This is a fantastic tour and should not be missed. They have tours in both Spanish and English so be sure to select the correct one. You start off on a tram and the guide explains the history and flora within the reserve. The tram engine was loud but we asked him to turn up the speaker volume and he... More

If you want to see an incredible view and experience natural up close you do not want to miss this one. This beautiful and diverse piece of land was rescued from developed by a privately funded preservation organization. They offer an easy going informative tour but spots are limited, call in advance!
