I would say this is a must do for anyone visiting PR. It was beautiful. Pictures or descriptions do not do it justice. It was worth the rowing.

This is our fourth visit to a bioluminescent bay--first time in parguera (20yr ago, SO much more luminescence), then in vieques, parguera again ( more recently), now fajardo. The kayaking is pretty cool--you take a relatively long paddle through the mangroves. However, there are soooooo...More

There are some times of the year where it is better to visit as there will be more bioluminescence. We went at the end of April and the water was a little cold still so the bioluminescence was not as strong as when the water...More

So here is the thing about my review. If my 16 year old son were writing it versus his 40 something dad it might sound different. Meaning my son thought it was awesome! But his sense of adventure is wilder than mine. There are a...More

This is just ridiculous for the price... Need to move your hand in water to barely see a few sparkles. 2 stars for the kayak ride. Funny and memorable ride at night in the bush.... 1000 kayaks at the same time should follow each other...More

We were told that the bio glowing was not at its maximum earlier, but we still took the trip. Luckily we still saw the glowing in the water, amazing.

Long and dark trip through the mangrove. Not for kids. And instructors were not completely in control. But very disappointing that we could not see ANY of the great light from the planktons we saw in the brochures. Our driver the day after told us...More

If you want to see bioluminescent plankton, just walk to the bay after dark and watch the waves come in. The waves glow and it is very interesting and quite beautiful. However, only go out with one of the kayaking companies if you want to...More

Definitely go!! Great guide and really lovely experience. Kids would love it too. We took a tour from San Juan to the bay. The 2 man kayaks were well balanced so no risk of falling in to the water. Lovely paddle through the mangroves before...More

Most people kayak during the day where you can see everything. But this one was different. There was rain and wind, but kayaking at night was a great and different experience. It was so relaxing and beautiful. Kayaking through the area was so calming, even...More
